Join us in the studio for 6 weeks of movement medicine to support your shift into the season. In this series, we will focus on the energetics of winter to restore our bodies, minds, and spirit. In addition to the movement practice, you'll discover the revitalizing power of Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda through weekly lifestyle recommendations for nutrition and self-care practices according to the season.

This class brings together the grace of gentle yoga with the profound energy cultivation of qi gong.  Re-integrate yourself back into the natural world to understand your relationship with the seasons, your emotions, your health, and ultimately with yourself. Five Element Yin Yoga is designed to nourish the mind, body, and spirit while also empowering you to harmonize health naturally through movement and breath. Together, yoga and qi gong are effective in keeping a healthy balance between mind and emotion, qi and strength.  This practice is a way to ground and bring in life energy to increase the flow of positive energy.  Each class will end with restorative poses to more deeply integrate the benefits of the practice.

Five Element Yin Yoga is designed to align with the rhythms of nature, adapting to the unique energy of each season. In both Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine, winter is a time for deep nourishment, rest, and introspection. As the cold and stillness of winter settle in, it becomes essential to conserve energy and build resilience. The body naturally seeks warmth and grounding, making it the perfect season to focus on fortifying the immune system and nurturing the kidneys, which are considered the wellspring of vitality. By embracing slower, restorative practices and creating a cocoon of warmth and self-care, we prepare to emerge renewed and revitalized as spring approaches. Winter invites us to turn inward, cultivating self-reflection, and deep self-love, which sustains our well-being through the colder months.
