About your instructors…
Stephenie Going is the founder of Conscious Nectar and co-owner of Trinity Body Arts in Hood River, OR. She is an avid student of Ayurveda, Yoga and the Gong Fu arts. Through her practice and the wisdom of these traditions, Stephenie found a spiritual path
towards embracing humanity. Stephenie has been teaching young people and adults for more than 20 years in multiple teaching capacities. She holds a B.S. in Music Performance, a B.S. in Elementary Education and an M.A. in Teaching and Teacher Education. Stephenie is a Jaya Yoga trained E-RYT 200 teacher and Certified Yoga Calm Instructor. Stephenie was trained in
Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises (TRE) by Dr. David Berceli and Lynea Gillen. Through the practice of TRE, students and clients have learned the process of relaxing their bodies to regain a deeper peace in their own lives. Through her Ayurvedic studies, Stephenie has studied with K.P. Khlasa, Marek Sawicki, Terra Rafael, and the Center for Sacred Window Studies. She holds a deep sense of purpose of being in service to others and she believes that teaching happens in relationship. Trinity Body Arts is a manifestation of creating space to offer the wisdom of our teachers while integrating knowledge through practice and meaningful learning experiences. Stephenie strives to bring a sense of compassion, strength, and balance to each led experience, with the intention of inspiring her students to incorporate these qualities into their lives every day.
Molly Holmlund is an artist fascinated by the process of hand making inks. Her work reveals a closer look into the multiple connections in nature, through extracting and applying color from plants and minerals. The use of natural materials creates a unique alchemy in the inks, allowing a different way of mixing and layering than traditional paints. This brings a sense of collaborating with the material, all while letting nature speak for itself. Molly keeps the forms simple, as to not distract from the nuances in the layers and color itself. She is drawn towards what lays in between, the negative spaces created by various layers of the overlapping ink. The results are gestural marks that are expressive of both the materials and herself.
Laurie VanCott, MSPT, began practicing yoga at the age of 15, and has been a yoga instructor and physical therapist for over 20 years. She believes building awareness and knowledge of the body and mind can empower a person in their own healing process. This has led her to teach yoga and practice physical therapy in a way that focuses on the mind/body connection through traditional treatments combined with yoga. Her teaching style is a blend of yoga influences grounded in a studied knowledge of anatomy and biomechanics. She loves the challenge of helping people find the ability to move within their bodies and build spirit and determination within their hearts. She teaches a national continuing education course for healthcare professionals on Yoga and Meditation for Pelvic Health. Locally she practices physical therapy in Hood River, OR and is the clinical coordinator for the Mommy & Baby Wellness program and speaker for the Yoga and Meditation for the Persistent Pain Education program.
